Good time waste

I purchased this book last month. In one month, I am able to read only two chapters of this book. This book is not organized properly. It has more than 500 pages of boring essays. This certification is for java developers not law makers. Chapters has been made big by repeating the same lines but in different ways. After reading the whole chapter, I always felt like I have read two - three lines of info. It should be technically organized for example more diagrams, making list of technical points, using bullets.

Not worth the money

The book is just plain horrible! It assumes WAY TOO MUCH! I am learning VB6 in school and this is the book that they are teaching us from. Many times throughout the book they give program examples using things that haven't even been covered yet. The exercises at the end of the chapters are very vague. The choice of color also is bad (brownish/red text) and makes for a poor reading experience. The tips and common programming errors sprinkled throughtout the chapters become annoying very quickly. My advice, pass on this one.

Got to get this book

"Windows Server 2003 Inside Out" is a really important book. In my opinion this book is the only book that is absolutely essential for any person working with Windows Server 2003. If you are an administrator or programmer or developer, no matter what your level of expertise is, this book is a must. As Windows solutions tech, I must say that I believe this book will take me further in the Windows world than all the other books I've previously bought and all the classroom instruction I've had. This book should be required reading for every Windows developer and programmer and administrator. Buy two copies because the guys sitting next to you are going to hog your first copy and you'll never get it back.
