The best book to be the best...

Honestly, I never bough a better book in my life.
I am a web developer on a professional level and I have though that I knew everything I need already, but this book changed it all - it told me that there's much more to learn yet!
While you're going from chapter to chapter you see so many details to be followed that this book seems to be the bible of web developing. It doesn't say how to create a web site in technological terms, it is all about your style, the way you project a web site, the way you keep your visitors as happy and as less frustrated as possible without even give them a chance to understand it.
It is all about the usable and practical web sites.
I think this is what all of us, developers, should know. read this book and you'll have no doubts anymore if this is better or this ...

comprehensive and essential

If you're going to take the Programmer Certification Exam and you think you're ready... think again. byte b=1; b = b+1; // does not compile. byte b=1; b += 1; // does compile. why? Covers the intricacies and subtleties of the language with good practice questions after each section. I doubt if I would have passed without this book. The writing is excellent to boot. Excellent book for those who want to learn JavaScript.

I love this book. The author explains everything he is trying to get across thoroughly. He goes through functions, objects, error handling, dynamic html, etc. He also has frequent sections where he has you try out the things he goes over, which helped me alot because typing the code in, as well as reading helped the stuff stick in my mind. After each try out section, he explains the code in detail, making sure you know what you did and why you did it. It's not a book if you want to learn JavaScript by tomorrow, but if you have some time to sit down and really get into it, there is no better beginning book then this one.

Great

This book is an excellent book for those that have experience with the Solaris OS. It gives detailed examples of various exam objectives and is clearly written which makes it easy to understand. If you've never worked with the OS before then you may have some problems comprhending some of the terminology; however, it is still a pretty decent book for a beginner to begin skimming through and pay attention to detail and gain an understanding of what will be expected on the certification exam. I also purchased the Solaris 8 exam cram; however, I never had the time nor got around to taking the certification. This Solaris 9 book definitely helped me understand the new features and commands that are available and just some of the subtle differences between the two version's. Best of luck to everyone planning to take the exam. Hope this review helped somewhat. Definitely worth the 20+ dollars.
