Excellent book. Must have on shelf

I enjoyed this series of books tremendously. Detailed explanation of various algorithms. Uses a fictional MIX assembly language machine to show code examples. This is unusual, but turned about to be very very helpful. The excerises at the end are have a rating of how difficult they are to solve, so you can choose which ones u want to tackle. Detailed answers for almost ALL the problems at the end of the book - always a plus!
OH .. and there are some problems marked "Unsolved".. If you can solve any of these, you might just be able to get a PhD for it :)

...took my breath away...when do these people get to sleep?

okay everyone, listen up. i am going to make my review of this title very brief. if you are really--and, i mean really, really--interested in learning hardcore actionscript, then, your money stops here with this book. i have read over fifteen books about flash and actionscript. this book leaves all of those books in the dust, i am afraid. the lessons alone are just brilliant; to the point; and, worth the price of the book alone. this book is not for the faint hearted. if you want to get your hands dirty--again, i mean really dirty--this book will show you how to get dirty and deep into actionscript in no time flat. you simply have to be very serious about actionscript. if you are not, then buy something else--you will be better served elsewhere. these folks know their stuff--i only wished that my brain worked like their's. if i were to recommend only one book about actionscript, this title would be it. i just cannot put this book down... i think it comes with an invisible glue that makes the book get stuck to your hands. well, there you have it. i shall give this book 10 stars out of 5!

An easy-to-use resource

The latest contribution of Jay Beale's Open Source Security Series, Ethereal Packet Sniffing is the first reference book to cover the "packet sniffer" security tool that has become widely used among network administrators. Individual chapters of Ethereal Packet Sniffing cover installing and using Ethereal: Network Protocol Analyzer in Unix, Linux, or Windows, filters, associated other programs that come packaged with Ethereal such as Tethereal and Editcap, integrating Ethereal with other sniffers, developing Ethereal and its design tools, and much more. An easy-to-use resource filled with screenshots, sample code, and step-by-step examples and instructions. An accompanying CD contains Ethereal itself, including installation, reference, and packet capture files, complete with a 1 year upgrade buyer protection plan, making Ethereal Packet Sniffing more than just a supplementary guide; it's computer software with a far more exhaustive starter guide than any tiny little owner's manual can offer.

Format Issues!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased the CD to listen in my car while commuting, but the CD doesn't work in my car. I have an older CD player and my car doesn't read a CD-R format. Sadly, this defeats my purpose. For the price, they should be delivering a higher quality product
