An excellent book on Cisco LAN Switching.

Outstanding. The whole book is good, but I especially liked the excellent coverage of Spanning Tree. This thorough coverage is long overdue in print!
The network design and L3 switching sections are also very good.

Just got Started and found my first error!

I was looking for good book to give me additional pointers with Photoshop Elements 3, when I came across This book: The Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements 3. I just got to the point where I was about to install Power Tools, when I find my first problem. I tried to install Power Tools which tells me to look on page "23" for the password. I looked on page 23 found no password. After many minutes of anger, I decide to start from the begining of the book to see I could find the password. I found it on page xxiii of the unmarked pages. I hope this is the only error???

P.S. I hoping it's the only error and I get the help I want?

Title: Introduction to 3D Game Programming with DirectX 9.0

Good balance between text, maths and code

This is a hard to fault book. My only criticism is that is wasn't longer. The presentation style is excellent. Readers will need a grasp of programming in C/C++ and an understanding of the MS environment to get the full learning value from the text. Concepts are explained clearly with supporting relevant code examples. The book should stand as a model of best practice in the area. Hopefully the author will produce another volume on dynamics in DirectX some time in the future.

You might not be dumb as you think.

For some of the material, I thought the book was o.k., but for others, it seemed a bit overly simplistic and difficult to find solutions for more complicated tasks. Does not include tips on Publisher, which was disappointing.
