Cool book, I found it very useful

This book is VERY well written and VERY readable. I needed other sources to get an actual driver written (see Chris Cant's book) but only because this book gives a much more complete picture and I needed something more specific. That's my point...if you want a good, solid understanding of the system and an excellent reference, get this book. It's not often one finds technical-minded people with such writing skill.

Title: Classical Electrodynamics
Publisher: Wiley
Authors: John David Jackson
Rating: 1/5
Customer opinion - 1 stars out of 5

This is the most meticulously pedantic text I have ever seen. It is its greatest virtue and its greatest vice. This book is almost perfectly correct and, to the best of my knowledge, has no typos. It covers Classical Electrodynamics more fully than any other text, especially if one pays attention to the problems in the end of each chapter. And all this makes it absolutely impossible to read.
I would suggest that one use Purcell. Yes, it is a freshman book. However, it really has everything a physicist will ever need in Electromagnetism. Most importantly, unlike Jackson, it gives physical context to the mathematics. And if one ever needs more, one can use Jackson as a great, invariably correct, reference.

Used it to pass COMPTIA IT Project+ PK0-002 Exam

Well written book. I used it and the SelfTest Software PK0-001 exam Prep SW (002 version not yet available) to study for and pass the PK0-002 exam in less than a month. Be warned though, like everyone says, this is not you normal techie exam. If you don't understand fundamental management concepts you will have a hard time with the exam. I have had a good amount of PM experience over the years but still found this book to be helpful in addressing some of my blind spots. This is a perfect book to prep someone with some PM experience (formal or informal) to PASS the exam.
